Possibly removed for a reason? I'm not sure but truck was backed on where sign used to be

Costs Rico, As that would be nice for our elderly and handicapped (Big supporter of Community Haven) it's not possible. Why? Besides Mira Mar parking district, meaning the Handicapped spot would only serve a handicapped person that is a Mira Mar residence - It cant be public.. More so is the safety concern as the end of the street. Area does not meet the required cul-de-sac requirements i.e. too small from emergency vehicles, without parking - Emergency requirements not my opinions. Therefore if you're not a resident of Mira Mar neighborhood, you're not entitled to an opinion.. Know: Your your opinion just brought light on the one handicapped space currently in place, if it's removed now.. that is on you. Encourage everyone to utilize the free rides or bike, TY

Sounds like the Mira Mar Neighborhood parking ordinance is taking away the public’s last waterfront handicap parking space on Siesta Key!!
So, it is time for SARASOTA COUNTY to revoke those unlawful privatizing parking restrictions and consider a better flow for driving and parking in the village. The other neighborhoods around there have “only on this side of the street” parking - which still lets police and fire pass, but allows the public to access public roads. It’s time for beachside miramar to get put in its place. We are a part of a county and state that believes in the rights of the public, not the few who would bully and exclude.

And, if the “dead end” is illegal for a turn around then the County should most certainly fix Beach Road and reopen it for the public’s safety. Thanks, Michael! Good points!!

"Sarasota Local". Amazed people can't use their name.. Emergency vehicles have requirements and so does cul-de-sacs in this County for a reason.. Someone cut down the sign.. and you're not demanding to find out who? Do you really WANT what is best for the community? Entitled unappreciated opinions is what causes us to lose what we have. Why? I LOVE watching families and beachgoers enjoy this beach, not disturbing the peace. The more and more this neighborhood receives opinions, the more we loss. In case i wasn't clear.. The neighborhood allowed the space and what i was pointing out is that it's best not to shine light on something one does not have a clue about. NOTE: The cul-de-sac is not large enough to meet the requirements for emergency vehicles, even without a parking space- Emergency requirements not my opinion- That's a fact. Also i would like you to NOTE: The beach we all LOVE, is PRIVATELY owned.. However, the generosity of the owners allow for the public to enjoy. It's NOT a PUBLIC PARK, It's a neighborhood. People like Mike C and his constant "attractive nuisance" is costing us ALL. STOP RBR = possibly SAVING BEACH ACCESS for the next generation. Mike C is the only one privatizing it. "Local", So did you forget when Whispering sands said enough?
Neighbors and OWNERS of the beach have the right to quiet enjoyment. Don't think for one second that they couldn't close of the entire beach tomorrow. Basically be all beachgoes should be respectful in ensure owners have fulfillment, not act with entitlement.
We are SO CLOSE to losing everything about "this neighborhood" we enjoy because MANY can't simply enjoy and leave their opinions in their own back yard.

I think it is important to have handicap parking near Beach Road and Beach Road should be open to all citizens of Florida because it is a short easy access to the ocean that dies nit require a liot of walking in the sand to reach the waters edge.

Siesta Local, THE COUNTY NEVER owned Beach Road only pretended to. TRICKED OWNERS. County was granted USE rights only, NOT ownership rights, in 1926 which COUNTY lost!! Some owners would probably love for the resolution to be retracted.. However, That would mean Public would lose all public access that was given by owners. HAPPY to share the facts anytime, you know where to find me. Basically AGAIN, HOW ABOUT WE FIND THE PERSON THAT CUT THE SIGN DOWN?

Gomez, You want a road cut through the BEACH? On what planet is that a good idea? It's not 1970, meaning we have free rides and uber. Covering White sand with asphalt, hmmmm. I think NOT. FDEP said a road will NEVER go in there again.. So why is RBR still collecting $$$? Where did all the $$$ collected go?

Let me ask you this... A road would cause traffic, correct? How would one reduce unwanted traffic..? That's an EASY one = by CLOSING THE BEACH TO THE PUBLIC. Note: It's NOT a County PARK, It is a neighborhood and the beach is not public land. Not to sound mean, but , come on.. who else is drinking the RBR Kool-Aid.

I spent a lot of my time and money defending this beach against ACOE wanting to dredge Big Pass, the beach would be GONE if they had their way.. I KNOW the fact, I am ALWAYS happy to share.

How about we find out WHO cut the sign down?

“Covering white sand with asphalt” is a pretty funny way of describing it. Don’t you mean sweep the sand off the asphalt that has been there since at least the 1980s when it was last paved? Just try to stop lying to everyone, at least, if you are going to claim to be an expert.

Would you care to know why the road washed out? I learned that wit the lawsuit against ACOE, you didn't even show up to protest the dredging. Like is said, I am happy to share. Oh, i guess you didn't know DEP said no road, sweep it off lol, now that's funny

"Please", how about you stop wasting County time and start helping the solution.. Meaning, you know how and where to reach me if you'd like to continue the personal insults, use the time to help track down the person that took the handicap signage.
Do you understand that the BEACH is private Property? Meaning if you use it, you are a guest and should act like one, not insult people on county site.
The sign was removed two days prior to the "porto potty" truck, so NO i do not know "who" took the sign. Are you NOT concerned with the stolen sign or focused on trying to make others look bad?
Are you not concerned with raw sewage on the beach?
Are you concerned with a diesel powered TRUCK on our WHITE SAND?
You're "the problem" and the reason this neighborhood is becoming less friendly. Why? You are not part of any solution - just my opinion - you should enjoy the beach, not complain about the ones that allow it.

Siesta Local "Elizabeth" to bad you chose not to use your time figuring out/report the person that removed it... BTW, Have you paid one cent in any kind of taxes what so ever? Just asking because you certain seem very entitled to use County resources. Meaning, every time you needlessly reopen a case, it take time from our County officials/public tax dollars. You ever consider actually giving back and contributing more than just an entitled opinion you in no way entitled to have..
