This is a sunken trench road repair from before (if it is the one I think it is), not technically a pothole, but is really jarring and needs attention soonest.

Sounds like the same problem I reported a week or so ago - evidently still not fixed. Someone needs to escalate this as it is REALLY BAD!

This is a water department problem.... the town engineer has notified them of this issue....

This sunken trench needs to be "shored up" bigtime! If indeed this is the water department's responsibility to fix once and for all - this issue needs to be addressed NOW! Trip generation numbers - I am certain - would show a great increase in traffic - both from Grafton towards Westboro and vice versa... With LARGE 18 WHEELERS HAULING HUGE FUEL TANKS (filled or not) plus other 18 WHEELERS HAULING WHATEVER - it is obvious that this "little trench problem" is getting bigger by the minute..... PERHAPS THE WATER TIGHT CONNCETIONS BETWEEN THE BELL AND SPIGOTS - IS NOT WATER TIGHT..... OR - PERHAPS THE DYNAMIC LOADING OF THESE HUGE VEHICLES BOMBARDING THIS "little trench problem" - have broken something..... Since this type of repair is obviously not working properly - it would behoove the water department to review concrete encasement theory and the proper bedding to be used and compacted around the pipes - at least up to the spring level of same - to help distribute and absorb the shock loading - YES - MORE EXPENSIVE IN THE SHORT RUN, BUT NOT IN THE LONG RUN...….AT LEAST - START WITH DISCUSSING THE ISSUE WITH OUR TOWN ENGINEER......

Was about to report this but noticed it was already reported. Multiple deep potholes exist along the trench.

I just drove over that stretch of road, and my car almost bottomed out crossing this trench/sinkhole.
A permanent fix would be a really good thing....
