I drive this road home from work frequently. I had to stop doing so because the road is basically becoming impassable.

I travel the lower portion of this area, 56th chestnut east to 13th street. The street was scraped as they have a major repaving project underway, sewer and drain construction at major intersects as well. At 52 nd chestnut and 48th chestnut.

Please fix this, driving down market at this point is like riding on a bucking bronco, and forget riding a bike. The businesses will never reopen with a street like this!

THIS IS EMBARRASSING. IN THE FRANKFORD SECTION OF THE EL, THE STREETS WERE NICE AND SMOOTH AFTER THE EL CONSTRUCTION!!!

The road surface is still bad now (November, 2012) from 63rd Street and east. The 60th Street Business Association in conjunction with Achievability, the Cobbs Creek Environmental Education Center and many other good organizations is pulling their weight in organizing events like OctoberFest to drive more people to the local businesses and to improve the community post-EL reconstruction. The City of Philadelphia has an initiative gaining steam for renovations in this area. Millbourne Borough is working cooperatively with all of the above on the DelCo side of the city border. I keep hearing that there's going to be a bike lane painted on the street when they finally re-pave it, but I have no solid information and I don't know the schedule. I agree that this has languished much too long and it needs priority asap.
