Description
McDonald's trash is flowing into the street. The city has only 1 garbage can which is on San Pablo, not near the exits, and not sufficient. Garbage is continuously tossed in the streets and is strewn down 66th and San Pablo impacting residents. Our community should not pay the price for this. McDonald's and the City of Oakland should pay to install and maintain the appropriate number of trash cans on the corners of 66th and San Pablo and possibly other locations. In addition, the City should ask McDonald's to provide regular street sweeping like other businesses in the area do.

The first review from a McDonalds customer says it all really.

No there isn't. I'm trying to find time to create a petition to the City and to the McDonald's owner as I think that will hold more weight. I'm getting the sense that SCF is really just a way to make people feel they are being heard, when in reality it doesn't do much to sway their opinion. I just found this:
http://www.berkeleyside.com/2015/02/13/locals-object-to-extended-hours-at-mcdonalds
Which conveniently names Ed Smith as the owner of that store. Ideas welcome...

Here's the CUP. http://www2.oaklandnet.com/oakca1/groups/ceda/documents/report/oak051631.pdf
Someone needs to contact the staff planner David Velaska to initiate a compliance review. The conditions in the permit clearly specify abatement locations, the installation of additional street cans, etc. David's email is dvaleska@oakJandnct.cotn There should have been a litter management plan produced prior to the finalization of the permit.
