I followed the link, read the article, and saw none of the poster's accusations against Mayor Sampayan, nor his family.

Nevertheless, this poster does claim to have witnessed corrupt activity within Vallejo city government, and specifically the Code Enforcement Division. This cannot be let go without investigation. Nor can we accept that Code Enforcement can assign an investigation of itself to itself, and then close it without comment.

Well, Gathering info now and contacting call ncerned parties, which of course includes FBI. There are some interesting land deeds also moving around Mare Island linked directly to the mayor who"owns" Vallejo, ca.

I too followed the link and saw nothing at ALL linking our current mayor to an organized crime family in the Philippines. I'm concerned that IF your allegation of a city official telling businesses to not concern themselves about code issues is accurate - well that's enough to ask for an investigation.

Didn't say mayor was organized crime family. However, now that you mentioned it, my relatives in the Philippines are headed to his province to see if there is a link to his family. Thanks for the idea.

??? what is the issue?

It has been reported to me that the City maybe Colluding with the Vallejo Police Department / Code Enforcement Division and or another City Department i.e. Street Sweeping, and or have entered into a contract or "meeting of the minds" to license plate read throughout the streets of Vallejo, removing cars from ungated driveways without the owners consent and absconding any and all vehicles including Senior Citizens vehicles that maybe late on their vehicle registration.

We've got a boat unhitched, I've called in to the Vallejo Police department over eight weeks ago still sitting unhitched in front of my Mothers house at 838 Carolina. There has been no response whatsoever from code enforcement. Code Enforcement has given themselves the right to "Trespass" and enter onto your property and take a vehicle of value from your driveway if there is no gate across your property.

This has turned into a mess of comments. I also found nothing in the "link" supporting the statements made. Good thing Vallejo Investigator is sending relatives to check it out.

Relatives in the Philippines have reported large house being constructed by our Vallejo mayor. Vallejo investigator had a private meeting with Yolanda a powerful relative of President duterte. She lives in Berkeley California. She reported that several cities such as Hercules Fremont soon-to-be Hayward Daly City and Vallejo or on a sort of plan to be completely Filipino govern. I wanted to laugh until she explain to me exactly how they're going to extract property and money from these locations. More importantly we are currently attending City Council meetings and residential property from Vallejo to private parties in the last few months. Stay tuned

Show some "proof or evidence" otherwise this is just all hearsay and conspiracy theories. How are they going to extract money & property from whomever. A quick proofread would help too, last sentence is confusing.

Bribery in city hall continues. Apparently city does not know feds are already on the case. Buy popcorn for what's coming.

Without real evidence, this is going nowhere. As we've said before, in Vallejo government, it is often difficult to decide whether a mess is caused by bad intent, or simple incompetence. It is however true, and rarely discussed in public, that some city staff and agencies are obscenely overpaid, over-staffed, and over-funded, while others -- often those that get most of the criticism here, unfortunately - are paid, staffed, and funded at a poverty level inadequate to get even a fraction of their work done.

At little more openness about how and why our city budgets fall so far outside state and national norms would help to defuse such conspiracy theories and scurrilous political take-over stories.

When communism collapsed in Russia, it didn't take long for "glasnost" (openness) to be displaced by the fat cat bullying oligarchs. It is easy to believe (either in reality, or fantasy) a smaller scale, but similar process following bankruptcy in Vallejo.

Just type in “Vallejo federal investigation” in the search bar line of your web browser, and yes you will get lots of returns. Although I didn’t find anything pertaining to what’s been mentioned here, Looks like a few of our city employees have gone to jail in the past - and for corruption too.

I just think that this city is running on empty!!!
