Description

Pole no. unknown

A quick drive past this location at night shows that another freshly installed LED lamp has failed to activate. The lamppost has no ID numbers, but it’s positioned right before the front door to the 1704 Creekview Ct. residence and near the terminus to Sonoma Mountain Pkwy.

Before the LED was brought to bear, the old sodium vapor ballast was seriously damaged. That's because the overgrown tree branches battered it constantly in high winds, causing the fixture to fall apart. I'm unsure if that also damaged the wiring inside the mast. Also worth pointing out is that the access hatch at the base of the lamppost is half-buried in the ground, so it'll require some excavation to open it up.
