This is not a pothole, it is a SINKHOLE that is continuing to sink, even after "repairs" as of 4/17. It is between a storm grate (also sinking) and a DWS manhole. This is exactly how a massive truck-swallowing hole developed a block away on Avon and Gainsborough in 2001, caused by soil erosion from leaking mains far under the street. This should be investigated by DWSD.

The City of Detroit Asst. Supervisor Treadway have referred this sinkhole service request to Detroit Water and Sewage. Our goal is to reduce inconveniences and promote safe travels within the City of Detroit.

This has still not been addressed. Since the time this issue was reopened, the only thing that has been done has been the placement of a couple construction barrels, which have sink into the depression caused by cars driving over the patch.
