I reported this pole about a month ago, when two Osprey had just started building a nest. You responded and indicated that a report had been made to Duke.
Yesterday, that pole caught on fire. The neighborhood was without power for about four hours and the nest, of course, is now gone.
I would very much like for someone to follow up with Duke and see if they actually did anything, at all.

Really? "animal problem' caused outage according to Duke.
Duke? Really? Many of us think you are stupid for trying to cover your tracks. We know.

Why waste time reporting a power issue thru this app so someone in gov't in The City can report it to Duke Power!
If you live here, you're a Duke Power customer. You can certainly call and report this yourself.....why go thru another 'layer' trying to get a result....geez....it would've taken the same exact amount of time, you would have been given a confirmation/reference # to follow up on and maybe even have saved the birds.

I expect the Mayor's office to follow up with Duke. This was reported in plenty of time for them to mitigate this issue. The Osprey were literally just getting started building the nest then, almost a month later, because of Duke's inaction, many of your citizens were left for four hours and these wonderful animals were lost.
I expect better from my City government in a situation like this. Do you work for us, or Duke?

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews old SeeClickFix reports in an effort to clean-up past issues that were resolved some time ago. We are now marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website or mobile app and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
