This intersection is a place where many people try to cross Miller, including school children and commuters using the bus stop. I agree it really needs pedestrian crossing signs installed.

Yes, this crossing needs to be well marked, which it is not. There's a bus stop there, so there are lots of people (including old and young) crossing Miller there.

As a daily driver and walker in A2, I regularly witness situations where drivers and/or the pedestrians are not paying full attention to their and others' safety; mobile devices are the bane of what should be primary focus. Regardless of who is at fault, though, a pedestrian will assume the greatest risk. Heads up, please!

How many people have to die in this town before city council will install real crosswalks

I believe we need a pedestrian crossing sign installed at this spot.

I agree that a ped crossing is needed at Pomona and Miller. It is a fairly heavily used crosswalk by a bus stop.

This intersection is daily used by middle school students walking to Forsythe from the Arborview neighborhood.

City of A2 Transportation Dept, either take action, announce the timeline for action, or let people know you intend to do nothing and why. There's no excuse for lack of transparency or communication. This request has been in the queue for months.

I emailed the city and my city council members back when I originally reported this issue. Chuck relayed this message from the city: "Staff will review the condition of the crosswalk pavement markings, and include this location in this year’s program if needed. Staff will also review the signage at the location and modify it as needed to be consistent with City crosswalk guidelines."

The pavement markings were repainted (Thank you!). There are still no signs. If there's been a decision that the "City crosswalk guidelines" do not call for signs here, please tell us.

Also, Ann Arbor Open has no school zone signs or markings.

Relying on signage to suspend the laws of physics is foolish and will only result in more deaths than otherwise. Parents teach your children to look both ways before crossing a street. It's nice to think of a utopian city where noone is getting texts while driving, or in a rush, or otherwise distracted, but no matter how you try in a city with a significant percentage of the population changing over each year as well as many tourist events, where people from other environs come to visit all year round, your utopian dream is foolish and doomed. Oh and don't forget, winter is coming...
