The flooding at this corner has occurred 3 times since this was reported in April 2018. The last time on October 2 I had to wade through sewer water to move my car at 1 AM as the water had progressed up the street almost to Cole. Water flooded some neighbors’ vehicles. The catch basins had finally been cleaned out by the WPCA just two weeks prior. We need separate sewer and storm drains. We are living in sewage during storm events. We had the water tested the morning of October 10 and it was ten times the safe limit for e. Coli. This is like living in a Third World country. Are we going to let 257 households live in these conditions? Why aren’t our tax dollars being spent to alleviate these conditions?
Please have the Health Department come to test the flood waters after a storm. These are unsanitary conditions that lead to cholera and other Third World country diseases that the media will have a field day with. I can tell you we are fed up and ready to take action if you won’t.
