I have issued a work order to have the speed limit signs reinstalled. I have asked the Police to monitor and enforce, we have installed the speed feed back sign to educate motorists and I will again ask for enforcement and the speed watch sign. If that isn't sufficient call the police directly your self and request that they respond to your concerns.

I have lived on this street for 13 yrs and the speeding traffic is out of control!
I am not holding out any hope those speed limit signs will provide any resolution. Now that the bike lanes are complete, this section of 30th Ave N (between 58th St N and 49th St N) has worsened and become a freeway.

Since the completion of the bike lanes, the emergency vehicles now use this route as a main throughfare. The police, paramedics and fire trucks and even the school buses are going 50+ mph on this road now. I do not see this as a police issue.... this is a traffic issue.

I belong to a biking group, which stopped using 30th Ave N due to the danger. It's pretty sad that I have a new bike lane right outside my front door and am afraid to use it. I will continue to use the sidewalks.
We need to slow the traffic by adding a stop sign, round-a-bout, speed bumps, etc.

With all the money and time spent creating this bike lane, someone needs to address the safety concerns for the cyclists, pedestrians and residents of this neighborhood or will it take someone's child getting hit by a speeding vehicle to correct the issue?

I agree with the speed getting out of control. The stop sign at 52nd Street and 30th Avenue north doesn't always have people stop. Some drivers look at the stop sign as a way to sit there, rev their engine and hit the gas and see how much noise they can make. I live on 30th Avenue. I would love speed bumps but I know that wouldn't work with the fire trucks and ambulances using this road.

Then there's the transients. I personally found a lady blacked out in some ones front yard. Found another in scrubs laying literally in the gutter at 30th and 52nd.

My husband and I have been reporting this issue for years. We live near the intersection of 30th and 58th. For a time, there was at least one accident every day at that intersection. This situation has really gotten serious, we see tractor trailers, that are not supposed to be on this road, speeding school buses, and many people going way above 35 mph, what we hardly ever see is a police car.

Not that it is a good thing but I'm glad to see others post here - I was thinking I was the only one bothered by how fast people were going on 30th Avenue. I stay the speed limit or a little under because I live on 30th and do not like the speeding. I have actually had people pass me when I'm going 35.

Im happy to see im not the only one concerned about this issue. Im not happy to see that it seems to be constantly ignored. The more i sit out in front of my house, the more i get scared for everyone who lives on 30thave n. The speeding is so blatent and reckless. Please help this issue.

We need the stretch of 30th ave between 34th (US 19) and 49th regulated the same as 49th to 66th. They have stop signs and cars are never going exorbitant speeds as a result. It blows my mind that our tax dollars were spent to make a safe bike lane on this road and nothing is being done to slow down the traffic so we can use it.

When can we expect this area to be monitored by the police? Cars are still speeding through the area and are dangerous and a nuisance.

The speeding continues to be a serious issue...and nothing is being done. The city and police dept continue to ignore the situation. Over the past months, I have taken it upon myself, to record many videos of the "30th Ave drag strip." I have also gathered documentation from the numerous complaints made by myself and neighbors over the years. All will be presented to the local media including television stations and paper.
