After the street reconfiguration Public Works installed a no left turn sign for traffic heading Eastbound on Hearst Ave and vehicle traffic is no longer allowed to turn left onto Spruce Street. However, many drivers ignore the sign and will drive over the double yellow lines into opposing traffic to turn left. Bollards / delineators may be needed in the median to discourage this illegal / dangerous maneuver.
