DMF and others, you can put your finger on the pin (on the map) when you are filling out the description and move the pin until it registers the correct address. Took me a minute to figure that one out.

Yes, that message was put out by the Department of Public Works. The yard trimmings have been delayed in several areas and they will be working through this weekend to catch up.

I just spoke to Solid Waste Manager, Sherra. I like her. There was a partial pickup. 8 tons of yard waste in Candler Park yesterday. They did miss a few on my street, but they picked up mine!

They will pick up the remainder (Oakdale, Hooper, Candler Park Drive, etc. ) tomorrow or Saturday. I gave Sherra a heads up that this weekend is Inman Park Festival and many park in Candler Park and cross Moreland to get to the festival so waiting til Saturday is not ideal.

She said she would rearrange things but that she'd take care of us, and that I can always call her. Yay!

On another note, when I called to escalate, I have to give the service request number. Since I'm using SeeClickFix, I can see what other service request numbers are for similar cases (Hooper) and I am consolidating service request numbers and target resolution dates. But the 311 phone operator told me I can't call about someone else's service request, just mine. I can't say, oh, 10 residents on Terrace Avenue even if I have a list of their service requests numbers. So, hmmm, there must be a better way to group escalate without having to go through our City Council rep, Amir Farokhi.

If the phone agent is unable to discuss the requests with you, you may reach out to us here and we can escalate it to the appropriate department(s).

So, how does this work...does each of ATL311 social media outlets (Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Instagram, SeeClickFix, plus others) each have their own person who monitors one specific one? You see where I'm going? Does the 311Facebook monitor know what is going on in SeeClickFix or 311Instagram?

There is a social media team who handles all media outlets for ATL311.
