Also, stop signs should be placed at that site. We have asked for this a zillion times.

I too would like to see a stop sign here, however, I would settle for speed tables being installed on Winchester as you approach the curve to Sachem, or raising the crosswalk and installing “bump outs” at each end of the crosswalk. If we can’t have stop signs, then the city must take other action. There’s lots the city (and frankly, Yale too) can do to enhance the safety of pedestrians at this crosswalk.

Why do some SCF items get acknowledged in minutes, but other items (like this one) never get acknowledged?

If the city wants SeeClickFix to be a trusted place for residents to report issues, then they need to ACKNOWLEDGE issues that people report. Some city departments do a good job at this, other departments do a horrible job. Please, if the residents take the time and effort to report an issue (including detailed descriptions, uploading photos), then please have the courtesy to acknowledge. I know you my not be able to repair it right away - or maybe ever - but at least let us know that you have seen or heard our concerns by just acknowledging the issue. It’s like saying “we hear you, we see your request, we will get to it when we can.” That’s all we ask. Thank you!

To the person at TT&P who finally acknowledged this post: Thank you!! Even if repairs cannot be made, it’s nice to have acknowledgment that it has at least been seen by the department.
