Description
Hello - I live on Wellesley Rd and my driveway is on Orchard Rd, which has been completely destroyed. It is very difficult to drive on and even presents issues when walking. The road is in a state of such disrepair that gravel and larges chunks of pavement have been appearing across my yard for some time now. I would really appreciate it if someone could take a look at the road. I know my family and neighbors would be delighted if it were repaved.
Thank you very much for your consideration and please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Hello - checking back in to see if any progress has been made in planning to address this issue. As previously mentioned, Orchard Rd is completely destroyed and, without exaggeration, it's getting worse with each passing day. More and more *large* chunks of the road continue to pile up. As one of my neighbors mentioned in another post regarding this issue, Orchard & Wellesley Rd is a school bus stop and a large number of children walk the street throughout the day. I fear it's only a matter of time before someone is injured.
Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear back from you soon.

Hello again,
It's been 8 months since reporting the road condition on Orchard Rd. The potholes continue to grow in size, both in width and depth. A few pot holes were patched recently, which is appreciated. However, those fixes only lasted about a month or so before cracking and returning to their previous condition.
Also, the portion of the road that had been reduced to gravel over the summer has only gotten worse - note that the baseline, back in April, was "completely destroyed." This section of the road was damaged while paving trucks and equipment used it as storage space when Whittier Rd and Oxford St received new asphalt.
In addition to the horrendous condition of the road, the intersection at Wellesley Rd and Orchard St remains an ongoing concern. Drivers continue to cut through the neighborhood to Rt 9 in attempt to avoid the lengthy backup on Oak St during rush hour. While cutting through far too many of these cars completely disregard the stop signs. A police officer has been stationed at the intersection intermittently, which curtails the reckless driving, but, is certainly not a long term fix. Painting "STOP," along with the typical white lines that accompany the signs may help. Note that this is a neighborhood bus stop, as well.
Thank you (again) for your consideration.
