The fronting property owner is responsible for the maintenance and repair of there sidewalk. Sec 5610 of the Calif State Streets and Highway Code and 12.04 of the Oakland Municipal Code. If this is PWD responsibility the cannot by there own rules use asphalt to repair the sidewalk it must be done with concrete. You should also contact the PWD call center 615-5566 or 311 about the sign post that is in the middle of the sidewalk. That is beyond dysfunctional.

I see this issue was reported over 2 years ago and nothing has been done. This is a city owned tree and therefore the responsibility for the sidewalk damage belongs to the city of Oakland, not the property owner. Please let me know when this dangerous issue will be resolved. Thank you!

Wheelchair access is clearly impeded and the raised sidewalks represent a tripping hazard that should elevate this repair to the highest priority.
