The block captain for our block is joke. He does have a key to the park gate, and I have seen him on multiple occasions dragging more junk and old furniture into it. This is a terrible situation. I agree with Joe- it makes our block look like a mess and it does set a bad example for our neighborhood and the city.

I witnessed the Block captain putting old pieces of dirty, gross furnishings in the "park" the other day. It is really horrible that this condition exists! The block captain and the city should be putting an effort forth to clean up our blocks and use the precious open space in the city wisely. This "park" could be an asset, instead of an eye-sore. I would love to see it turned into a community garden for our block. Can something be done about this!?
