Description

1. In the Civic Action Project, I'm going to focus on homelessness in my home town. Around this time of year I always think about the homeless because of the weather and resources they don't have.

2. I think it's an important community need because there are so many people and families affected by homelessness in the region.

3. If the community was addressed I think governors, government aide, and community outreach groups should be involved.

4. I know there are outreach and community centers that help with the issue of homelessness, but getting the word out can be major in the community and help those that are in need.

5. Yes, there are temporary shelters in PG County. Through the county all referrals have to be done thorough the Homeless Hot line directly.
