This is a bad section of road with exposed sharp metal pieces and rough pavement; people often swerve onto the wrong side of the road when traveling northbound to avoid the roughest part. This causes traffic hazards in addition to any damage done by the tracks. I’ve seen multiple people at the gym nearby with Flat tires after driving over this section of road.
Could the city have more powerful actions towards the rail road company that slows down the street rehabilitation projects of Houston's underserved neighborhoods by not giving permission to remove the old tracks? These tracks slow down the area's infrastructural and economical growth by creating hazardous conditions to for all the road users. Nobody wants to drip on these dangerous potholes on their daily work commute or stroll with a baby.
