I once heard a NH Police Officer refer to the force as the "State Street Crips." This tells me all I need to know about the priorities/attitudes of the NH Police force.

That sucks. People running red lights are a huge danger to everyone, I wish that enforcement was more consistent.

It gets much worse than NHPD officers simply ignoring red light runners, which I have seen so many times (NHPD cars at intersections doing nothing when another car goes through a red light). This Monday (03/11) at 7:05am , I saw an SUV on State Street (going south) going through two red lights -- and not just a late attempt to go through on yellow, but going through on a solid red that had turned red several seconds prior.
The SUV then gets trapped behind traffic waiting at a red light at the intersection where State turns into Union Ave. I pull up alongside as he's in the turn-left lane, and inside the SUV I see a male in police uniform. Unbelievable!
Clearly he was late for work -- I assume his shift was due to start at 7:00am and he was late. So, in his mind, as he's a police officer, he gets to run two red lights putting the public in danger.
I would like to see someone who was hit by a red light runner taking legal action against the NHPD for their consistent refusal to enforce laws against running red lights and their modeling of that action. If you don't enforce a law, you should expect the public to ignore it.
