As you can see by the second photo... It does appear that several vehicles have all ready hit this. Do you Care? Will you at least put up a blinking light until DOT gets around to this sometime in 2019?

Well the rain washed all the trash into the drain so here is today's photo of a Govt. Agency's Problem that IF this was the problem of a private citizen and allowed the public to be in danger... You would be all over it.

So 10 days ago when the 'Stormwater Department' investigated... Did they say anything that should be reported? Like the gap between the grating and the curb above it is 10"? Did they mention that steel rebar is sticking through the cement and that 'Anyone' walking from the Trop after an evening game going to one of the many independent parking areas Southwest of the Trop could either cut or break a leg? It has been 4 months since originally reported. You said DOT was notified. Did they give it an investigation number?

So on May 7th, Mayor's Action Center 2, sent details to the Stormwater Dept. so they could take action.

On May 17th, Stormwater Dept. sent it back to Mayor's Action Center 2.

Today, June 5th, will you be sending it back to me for another photo?

Stormwater 3, Called the # you provided. They are familiar with SCF and when a problem occurs that involves them, the governing agency, (Village, Town, City, County) usually forwards the SCF # or contacts them directly. NOT ONE AGENCY from St Pete has done so on this issue. Although YOU Stormwater 3, did say that you made contact on Jan. 16, 2018. Supervisor at FDOT says NO Contact AND Not FDOT issue.

WHY do I have to do this??? How did I get the job of checking up on and verifying this $#it?

Spoke to all 3 FDOT agencies and all 3 would not take responsibility of area even though surrounding area shows signs of FDOT maintenance (such as ADA ramp). In any event due to the extended time of issue - Stormwater with the city of St. Petersburg will repair area after conversation with Dept. Supervisor. Area is along 5th Ave S heading East Bound BEFORE 16TH Street next to the parking area under interstate

Thank You for sending someone out to "Actually" look at this issue instead of checking a map and saying 'Not Our Problem'. This is truly a Hazard and a Danger to the public. SOMEONE, ANYONE, from the City of Saint Petersburg should have CARED enough about the Citizens should have followed through and done SOMETHING about this FIVE MONTHS AGO. Thank you for the phone call and letting us know that someone does care.

So CSR 1 came out and took a photo on June19 and passed it on to Stormwater 3 on June 20. Today is August 9. This was originally reported Jan 16, then spent Six Months pointing fingers about who is responsible. Now Eight Months after first reporting... ANY UPDATES???

Now 7 months after first being reported and 3 months after bring it back AGAIN. Here is a photo from August 20, 2018. See if YOU can SEE the difference...

Update from Stormwater Department: This is actually a FDOT issue, but Stormwater is fabricating a more permanent piece to fit this area so it will not break so easily. This may take some time and we appreciate your patience. Thank you.

CSR1 and 'I' have both spoke with FDOT and it is NOT their issue. This was known back in January 2018 and again in June.
The finger pointing must stop! It was turned over to Stormwater 3 on June 19th, with recognition of that when a 'Work Order' was issued on June 20th.
NOW... In the past TWO MONTHS since the 'Work Order' has ANYONE had the NERVE to at least put out a RED CONE??? The answer to this is no.
You can see in the photo that the damage continues.
This cannot happen when someone walks on it... It is either being hit by vehicles OR some kids with sledge hammers.
Only other possibility is that when the Emergency Vehicles leave that Parking Lot, they drive over this section to have access to 5th Avenue South.

I am so happy to see that progress is being made by removing the entire piece.
