The noise rattles the entire neighborhood. It often scares me. Rush hour it happens hundreds of times. Please fix this issue!

It's been like this for months. Just come and listen to the noise- you won't believe how loud and annoying it is.

I am unable to sleep at night anymore. During the day, it is so noisy. Rush hour i's intolerable. Please help

It's been one month and there's no sign of any help from N.C.D.P.W. Can someone help us here?

Letters were mailed. Phone calls were made. Nothing's been done. The noise is relentless. So much for paying taxes. Time to vote in other politicians.

Still, nothing's been done. No one is listening ...

January 5, 2015- still nothing had been repaired.

Manhole cover still doesn't fit right- makes a lot of noise. I wonder what Mangano would do if this was near his house ?

June 8, 2015. Still, nothing's been done. Manhole cover still resonates throughout the neighborhood- traffic time is like an orchestra. It's amazing how phone calls and letters get ignored.

To date, 12/21/15, nothing's been done but they were able to fix the street at Venus and Woodbury Road with 5 trucks this past week.

The annoying noise is still there reverberating throughout the night.

During more than two years of interrupted/sleepless nights, I realize no one really cares about this issue. Had it been in front of the 'important and influential peoples' " homes, it would've been corrected years ago!

Woodbury Road is maintained by Nassau County not the Town of Oyster Bay. The NCDPW Dept. should be called at 516 571 6900.

As per Nassau County DPW the casting of the manhole cover was repaired today.

Hi. This issue came about around March 2013 when Woodbury Road was repaved. Sadly, a young man died under the underpass, as the road wasn't repainted. The day after the crash, it was relined and I, like many, pass by his memorial daily.

I wrote letters, went to the DPW personally, and found myself using this site as a resource. The DPW came today, and in the frigid weather, relentlessly worked on the issue, and tried FOR A SECOND TIME since the road was repaved, to repair this issue.

Hopefully it works and the issue can rest.

We are all thankful for the repair.
