Deskripsyon
Traffic blowing through street, all day, and night. 8:am to 6:pm worst.
Most appear to be avoiding traffic signals at 9 mile and Harper, and Greater mack.
Many times traffic going very fast. Traffic also tail gaits residents, and is also often commercial. Commercial often auto parts suppliers, and/or CVS, related.

Also have been calling Businesses about their drivers. Seeing a reduction there, also.

I'm sure that if the poor guy owned his own home, he would feel the same, as those that do.
Commercial traffic is not the only problem, as everyone is avoiding 9 mile. At least with commercial traffic I can call the #s on the side of the vehicles. Better response then calling the police.

Maybe when a child gets hit, someone will do something about the traffic here. Maybe the "poor guy" can understand that.

This issue is not changing, traffic is not being effected.

There has been a little less commercial traffic. but it's slowly increasing. Many of the businesses that I have called, have new drivers. So they are starting to use this street as a shortcut, again.
After many discussions with the city, and police, I have come to the conclusion that they don't care. This conclusion has brought us to the realization that we are not comfortable here. We will be putting the house up for sale soon, and we will be looking elsewhere to live. This city listens to, and conforms for businesses. Allowing them to drive where they want, and buy houses for parking (Wally's and Cosmopolitan Travel Agency to name the closest).
I thought that a forum like this would have made a difference, but I see no change.

There's something going on in this city, And I don't mean to imply, but i"m not the only one that believes this. Many of my neighbors wish they could move. And in the last 12 months, we've seen 6 of our neighbors leave. I spoke with all of them, and a desire to leave this city was a constant sentiment. Some left for other reasons.
Just our feelings, but, after 6 years in our beautiful home, we feel it's been ruined by a lack of interest by the city.
As for this site, it's no replacement for caring voter placed city officials, or good old fashioned regulations/laws. A lot of people think the internet will fix everything, but it won't. Only the caring humans can do that.

I've grown tired of trying to draw attention to this issue, and I know this is not the only neighbor hood with speeding problems. Police are probably spread thin, and not capable to make a dent with this issue. Maybe some other neighbor hoods get better patrolling, and I just don't see it.
