NO, not even! I worked w/COA Construction (Public Works) for 26 years. Since when is the contractor dictating policy? Oh wait, this is ART! This is an object marker/directional sign and the angle of the stripes tell traffic which direction to go (L or R). The way this sign is set, it is directing traffic to the right and into the sidewalk!! Contact COA Traffic!

"The citizen is incorrect. Visited the site. The sign is correctly placed to warn WB traffic on Central of the bump out with landscaping after they pass the Special Collections Library. There is a pull over lane in front of the library, the sign and brightly painted yellow curb along the edge of the landscaped bump out, and the sign in question warn drivers to move into the WB travel lane. The sign is not meant for the alley."

So whoever visited the site is saying that this sign is placed correctly. Does that mean that this sign on Copper & 7th Street is also wrong? Will this someone explain why the difference?? Am I blind? What am I missing here? I am not going to let this go until it is corrected!!

Here is a better example of what I am trying to accomplish. Two separate locations, same traffic issue. How can the signing be correct at both locations????????????????

Above photo was posted by mistake, this is the one meant for the comment! But as you can see in both photos, the direction/angle of the diagonal stripes tells traffic which way to stay!
