Description
My neighbor has consistently failed to maintain the lot for quite some time now, despite several complaints to the village. The lot is a nuisance. §95.01(4) of the Lake Orion Village Code of Ordinances defines a nuisance, in part, as “[a]ny and all conditions, premises, building, or structures that harbor or are conducive to the harboring or breeding of insects, vermin, rats or other rodents.” The lot’s grass is eight to ten inches tall, which is highly conducive to insects and rodents. Moreover, the lot makes the whole block look unkempt.
