Public Works IS responsible for upkeeping Cabana Isle. Our HOA is supposed to be monitoring their performance and clearly is not. The outside "landscaping" is terribly overgrown in many places and FULL OF WEEDS. The City of Vallejo forced Cabana Isle HOA to turn landscaping over to the city and pay them instead. The homeowners here are losing out big time and the is NO EXCUSE for the city to claim they have money issues when we are paying additional monies for services we clearly are not getting.

I've just sent an email to Brisa Long at the PW Department also regarding the poor care of the plants around Catalina Circle too.

The clumps of grass you see are merely from not having the clippings bag on the mower and mowing after it’s grown too long or is too wet when they mowed.

The city does a poor job. Cabana Isle HOA pays them because we were forced by the city of Vallejo to use THEM insitead of contracting directly for these services as we had in the past. This was never a problem prior to this. Perhaps you are unaware of the scandal involving the head this Vallejo department and criminal charges?'

Regardless, we PAY for specific services that we haven't been getting.

Hi Yes, I knew about the scandal and was in contact with someone in charge of the landscaping who had plans to make some upgrades. However, that person doesn't seem to be in charge anymore. Because I rent, I am not involved with the HOA. But I wish someone who does would propose the city put up a trash can for dog poop as we have on Avalon Circle.I'm tired of seeing dog poop everywhere on the outer circle

Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

Robots are not reading the issue, it’s not about dumping.

Dear LMD,
Still waiting for meaningful and badly needed cutting back of shrubs, trimming of trees, weeding- FULL of weeds, and watering. Irrigation has not been functioning in across from 762 Catalina Circle for months. I have called and emailed directly but at least this gets it documented.

Please see above comments. Except for some very limited recent planting, virtually nothing has been done out here. We pay for this service. We are getting virtually nothing. We used to see this being cared for a minimum of one a week. Now it's so neglected that it will be a fairly large job to make this right again.

I wish to close this issue since the Park is the responsibility of the HOA
