Description

This is a dangerous intersection for cars turning out of the neighborhood from Gettysburg Rd. on to Green due to large overgrown vegetation blocking the view on the W side of the road. Green Rd. is already a dangerous curve at this location, the overgrowth makes it even more treacherous.

Actually, I was going to bring this up. As I understand this, this burm was set up by the city . Are they responsible for maintaining it? I agree this is a dangerous intersection. Something needs to be done to slow cars down so the PEDESTRIAN crossing is safer.

Please do something about this soon I agree and was going to bring this up but I also think this is a vehicle collision issue danger due to a short sight line. I have almost been hit in my vehicle trying to pull out from gettysburg onto southbound green rd. The owner of the property behind the berm has maintained it in the past. I got the impression it was his berm.

I believe this is the city ‘s responsibility. There were some dead trees on the berm which had fallen. They were removed by the city.

Again the real issue is that the curve is only 100 yards from the intersection. A car traveling 35 mph travels from the curve to the intersection in less than 5 seconds. Most cars traveling south on Green are going faster than 35 mph.

I trimmed these shrubs today as I had not heard back from the city. I am not sure there is much difference in the visibility.
