The case for this property is still open and I see we contacted the owner in regards to the violations and was advised by the owner they will handle it so we will be reinspecting very soon. Thanks for the update!
Nothing has changed. The lot is still overgrown, there is a used toilet on the front porch and there isn’t a building permit or inspection box posted. There also is not a Stop Work Order posted.
I see there is a re-inspection occurring in February and this case will be updated thereafter! Please contact the Office of Buildings at 404-865-8550 for construction complaints.
This case (CC-2018-06105) was updated on 6/11/19 and is currently being scheduled for another inspection. We will have more information as this case proceeds.
The previous case was dismissed in court as the property has new owners. As a result, a new case had to be created for this issue so that we can locate the current owners and provide notice for compliance.
Good morning, Knox! This case has been last updated on 9/19/19 advising the citation has been initiated and sent to the owner. This case will be updated after that occurs. Supervisor Jones can be reached at 404-546-3837 or 404-326-7225 and ecjones@atlantaga.gov. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the update, Knox! This case has been recently updated advising the Officer is in the process of attempting to hand-deliver the citation to the owner. This case will be updated when that occurs.

Thanks for the details! A code enforcement violation has been issued for the property and we will be inspecting briefly via case #CC-2020-02837. Please be advised there is a delay in inspections at this time as well.

Good morning, Knox. Code enforcement case #CC-2020-02837 is currently still open and a notice was mailed to the property owner on 09/02/2020 to address the issues.
Good afternoon, Knox. The case was closed with notes that freights on properties are regulated by the Office of Zoning. They may be contacted at 404.330.6145. As for the garbage, is it on the property or do they have it placed at the curb for a pickup?
The garbage is on the property near the house and all around the freight car. Anyone who goes to the property can't miss it. I understand that it is challenging to get Officer Russel to do site visits, but that is a core function of her job.
I called the Office of Zoning at 404.330.6145 and they told me they are not the correct department to call and that I was giving incorrect information.
That is the office that Code Enforcement noted down on the case and we located a building complaint that was issued for the freight with zoning yesterday. The Code of Ordinances in Sec. 16-28.008 (12) state: "Only one (1) temporary storage container is authorized per each such residential lot for a period of time not to exceed 90 days in any 365 day period. This 90 day time limit may be extended only by issuance of a building permit for an accessory shed/garage structure pursuant to the procedures and criteria of the Office of Buildings." Both the Office of Zoning and Office of Buildings fall under the Department of City Planning.
Almost 3 years later and there is still a freight car in the front yard as well as a piles of garbage. The garbage is on the property near the house and all around the freight car. Anyone who goes to the property can't miss it. I understand that it is challenging to get Officer Russel to do site visits, but that is a core function of her job.

Officer Russel does very little in our NPU. She closes issues without site visits, she claims she can't find weeds that are taller than she is and piles of garbage that are almost as tall as she is. She rarely answers her phone and is not helpful when she does. She knows the responsibilities of her job, but doesn't make an effort to do them. I will request that you reach out to Officer Russel and provide an update.

Good morning, Knox. We have created Code Enforcement case #CC-2022-03476 for the issues at the property to be addressed. For updates, you may contact the case supervisor, Officer Wimberly, at 404-416-5781 or knwimberly@atlantaga.gov, or the inspector, Officer Parks, at 404-904-2201 or spjparks@atlantaga.gov. Thank you for choosing this platform to contact us! Please let us know how we are doing by taking this quick survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/V8ZCW3D.
It’s not my job to follow up with code enforcement individuals for years and years for every issue. This issue has been open for over 4 years. I would request that ATL311 follow up with your coworkers to make sure they are doing their job or replace them with people that will do the job.
um with all do respect “knox” but you know some people actually struggle living paycheck to paycheck because my mother and i work so much we don't have time to pick up a few pieces of trash here and there, and since you pay so much attention to detail i would guess you know that i've recently broken my leg and can't do anything for a couple more weeks. it's honestly sad that you sit on this website and make other people life's worse and worse, your neighbors lives worse and worse. just so you can look at an appealing scenery,.
