Description
This raises piece of sidewalk has been here since we moved in 6 years ago. Several complaints have been made in the past and the issue has not been addressed. My husband is legally blind and has tripped on this before but has been fortunate not to fall in the past. Sunday my 17 year old niece walked over to my house and tripped and as a result sustained 3 cuts on her knees and one one her elbow and was bleeding. This needs to be fixed because I also have 2 small children ages 3&9 who use this street to walk over withy husband to my mothers house on Appleton street. Thank you!!!!

Hi Karen,
I am the Director of the DPW Bob Knox the spring season has just begun and sidewalk request are the biggest list that we have to deal with this time of year. The way the process works is the resident makes a request then the DPW will inspect the sidewalk and mark it out for dig safe then when in the Ward we address the most severe problems first. This process takes some time but I can assure you that we do have your information and will stay on top of the situation. If you need any additional information or updates on the repair please feel free to call me anytime at 781- 397-7160 or you can email directly at rknox@cityofmalden.org
Thanks
