Description
The water was shut off today for part of our neighborhood with no advanced notice. Came home to this.
It eventually ran clear, but I have no idea if this is safe to use.
I’m disappointed we didn’t have a notice with instructions on our door.

Water Maintenance staff have been advised of your concern, and we apologize that your home was missed with a door tag. We have advised our crews to make sure all parcels are notified in the event of a shut off with a door hangar that will advise residents of procedures and expectations of a flushed line, which is the cause of the water color in this incident due to older pipe infrastructure. Water Resources also posts any boil water notices on the City website, and in this case there was no concern for such a notice.
Residents may also contact our 24 hour dispatch line with any concerns to speak with a live person. Dispatch can be reached at (727) 893-7261.
Again, we apologize and appreciate your efforts to communicate your experience so that we may improve on our processes.
