Those street sweepers need to come around after heavy storms.

The street sweepers came by a couple of weeks ago one day before all of the oak tree blossom debris from the county trees came down.

There was so much more than blossom debris. Sticks, limbs and other debris. We had to ride in the small restricted lane between the bike lane and traffic lane. I have been cycling Centennial Lane for 8 years and this is a continuous problem.

Thank you for submitting your request to the Howard County Department of Public Works. Our staff will investigate this issue and respond.

J. Barker inspected the bike lanes on Centennial Ln. 4/29/18. I found normal amounts of dead leafy vegetation in the gutter pan. A small dead deer, which I removed from the paved portion of the roadway & very small amounts of litter here & there but not in the bike lanes. See attached picture. With summer ending & fall approaching, I expect to see more concentration of dead leaves. I also noted cut grass clippings being discharged by abutting properties but nothing that should impact a cyclist who is safely oriented with their surroundings. Closing request.
