This is a problem with the intersections at Dupont/28th and Emerson/28th. Emerson and Dupont do not have enough volume to justify the long greens that they are given. Meanwhile the greens for 28th street at these intersections are too short during both morning and evening rush hours. Cars often have to wait two, or even three, cycles of the light to pass through the intersection.

These are all very short lights. The longest you ever have to wait is 30 seconds for the next cycle. This is done as a traffic calming measure. It makes pedestrians and bikers feel safer on the streets. Slow down and enjoy the drive a little.
