Description

Speed bumps and/or more stop signs NEEDED on Hillside Ave between Woods Ave and Cherry St.

Speed limit is routinely ignored at all hours of the day. Residents and pedestrians on this street are frequently at risk, particularly the families with children. (Additionally, there are several families w/special needs children.)

A vehicular tragedy will most certainly occur on this street if measures of some kind are not taken.

100% agree.
The stop sign on Claremont might as well not even be there. People blow through it constantly. Speed bumps are needed. And flashing red lights.

Tragedy awaits if not.

Dangerous! I've been trying to get this issue resolved for YEARS! Let's get together and sign a petition to remove the stop signs and install several 20 mph speed bumps.

This continues to be a major problem. The frequency of violators has increased in recent months. Several crashes have occurred at the Claremont/Hillside intersection and still no response from the city! This is a quality of life issue for our neighborhood. How can we take our child or dog for a walk safely with cars speeding down our road and totally ignoring stop signs?

Sadly, the new flashing stop signs do nothing to curtail the flagrant, ignorant actions of many drivers. I have witnessed drivers speeding through these new stops signs. These repeat offenders need to be ticketed.

Drivers continue to completely ignore these stops signs, including DPW dump trucks! Dog walkers, children and pedestrians are all in danger. Living on Hillside is like being on a race track! Let's solve this problem before it's too late.
