Description

As you are traveling westbound on Lees Street, approaching 30 Ave. , the lanes become divided and are marked either for a left turn (south) on to 30th Ave or a right turn(north) on to 30th Ave. There are not any markings or signage to indicate which lane you should be in if you want to proceed west, across 30th, on to Avery. This is confusing for the drivers traveling west on Lees and also for traffic entering the intersection from Avery. Drivers traveling west on Lees, that want to continue west across 30th to Avery, and encountering traffic in the left lane turning left (south) on to 30th, will use the right lane of Lees and travel across the intersection. This places them in the right hand lane/bus stop/parking on Avery and they will have to immediately change lanes to the left, which can be a problem if a vehicle has gone straight across 30th from the westbound lane on Lees. The westbound lanes on Lees need to be clearly marked: the left for straight through/left turn ( west/south option) and the right for right turn (north option), with the appropriate signage a significant distance prior to the intersection for vehicles westbound on Lees, indicating this. Signage should also be on the light standard facing Lees (east) which indicates these options for the respective lanes as well.
