The drain is currently clean but it needs to be re-engineered. It clogs with every heavy rain and on multiple occasions has resulted in car accidents and the fire department closing the road until the water level went down.

It clogs with every heavy rain and on multiple occasions has resulted in car accidents and the fire department closing the road until the water level went down. The current drain is a grate and should be an open drain as shown in the photo to allow for better water flow.

Checking to see if there are plans to re-engineer the drain at 3942 Saint Johns Ln Ellicott City, MD 21042? Drain still clogs every time there is a heavy rain.

I will submit your request to our storm water Engineering Department. Highways maintains these structures after they have been built and turned over to the County.
