City of New Haven: where are you on this issue? Nothing is being done to clean up this mess of a house and its backyard.

I'd appreciate it if someone in the city would comment on this mess on Blake St. It seems to have been forgotten.

Hi Pam, I have been monitoring this house for over a year now. I am in constant contact with the owner as well. During the day there often only one or two cars there, and there was recently one on the front lawn that I reached out to the owner about and he removed it. Thanks for checking in.

Wow! Whenever I look in the backyard, there are SEVERAL cars there, some covered, some not.
The house itself is still looking awful.

Another month has passed and still no work done on the house nor conversation about it.

Hi Pam, there are still no violations that I am aware of from all my visits and all my communication with the owner of 346 Blake St. I will be at the property today (11/29/18) just after 3:00pm if you'd like to meet me there. Thank you - Jillian

Unfortunately, I have a 3 PM meeting downtown. It's difficult to believe there are no violations--with the plywood or pressed board exterior on the left side of the house, with what looks like abandoned cars in the backyard, it's quite awful to look at. I also think the yellow house across the street (the house with the sunken garden) is a mess to look at and needs repair badly. (Sorry, I don't have the street number of this house.)

The yellow house is being repaired as we speak. There is an active building permit. Please allow a little more time.

Junked cars still left in the backyard of this house. Yellow house doesn't look any different to me at this point.

Re-inspecting this property this week. I have already spoke to the owner as well.

I don't see any progress at this house or the yellow one across the street from it.

The yellow house is undergoing lead abatement and will be repaired over the next few months.

This property was issued an Order. The owner has been better at managing the property.
