I'm sure that in the Building Department this house can be moved to the top of the list to be demolish. If this was next door to a councilperson it would have been down yesterday.
I understand your frustration. However, the health department code addresses public health nuisances not eyesores or the stability of a structure. Property maintenance and structures are addressed under the Building Department- Code Enforcement. This property is owned by the Stark County Land Reutilization Corporation, which is one of the first steps on the road to removing this eyesore from the community. I do not have access to the demo list so I cannot comment on time frame for demolition of this structure. I am reassigning to Building Department. /// GED
If the Building Department would read the notes the address is 1301 14th St NW. Also for the stake of all the public is watching this property, keep the issue open and comment what the status is on the property. You may say things like the property has been assign to a demo contractor, projected date of when will be torn down, ETC.
If the propert is owned by Stark County Land Reutilization Corporation, why aren't they caring for the property??? I mean, on a basic level just the grass?
According to County Auditors website, this property had an appraised value of $71,400 as late as 2011 then a drop to $30,100 a year later. Back to the issue at hand, why has the grass not been cut at least? More important, how long will the city allow this structure to be an eyesore? Please respond Mr. Mayor, the residents who have to live with this have a right to know.

Funny how this has gone silent.
On the most basic level of the complaint, the grass has yet to be mowed for the fist time this year.
This unsafe structure and heath hazard still stands and remains unsecured.
Maybe it will take someone getting injured on this property for there to be action?

It's good to hear this unsafe eyesore will be gone soon.
Is there anyway the building can be secured? People can and are freely entering the premises. Squatters and vandals are in and out daily ..
