This is not a SeeClickFix issue. It is an enforcement issue. Call your council member, call the commander of the 1st district, call DPW, all until you get a person on the phone who tells you they can do something. SeeClickFix is not the solution.

Pgirl, why is “Parking Enforcement” an option in the 311 app then? We report other parking issues (such as nonresidents parking on zone 6 only side of G street) and have gotten feedback that a ticket was issued. The buses are blocking bike lanes and in a no parking zone. We are also talking to Councilman Allen’s office (Kimberly Kennedy) and various other forums, but in hopes of getting immediate enforcement the 911 operator said to send it to 311!

In my experience in using SeeClickFix to take action on illegally parked cars, the system posts a message: "This service request (#___________) has been marked as resolved" about a day or two after it's been reported. I've followed up and asked if a ticket was issued and they indicated all the information they had was that the issue was closed.

So I decided to do a test. I reported a car illegally parked. A day later the system indicated it was "resolved." There was no car illegally parked at the location (I made it up). I asked them how they could ticket a car that was not there. Again, no reply.

FYI - this website is not run by a DC agency. It is a contracted service with headquarters in Connecticut. It's useful of many situations but parking, absolutely not. Ironic since DC has the most aggressive parking enforcement team.
