This is absolutely AWFUL! This is the entrance to our street, filled with litter and mounds of garbage weekly!! Not to mention this is a Bridge St property. Perhaps the garbage removal should be on Bridge St....

Agreed. Trash is now trailing across the street, this dumpster fills up within 24 hours of it being emptied every single time... it smells, it looks awful, it’s not just a nuisance, it’s dangerous.
This needs to be FIXED.

All of these board of health issues could be easily fixed with fines. The board of health is the only city department that does not answer to the mayor. If your parking meter expires you get a $25 ticket but if you let your trash get out of control you get a letter telling you to clean it up. That process can take weeks. Based on the amount of complaints that get sent to the board of health I would think that quick expensive fines would solve this problem and provide money to the city. Simple solution in a city where dumped trash is out of control.

I disagree, Sailor. I feel we are very heard here, and overflowing dumpsters are definitely not ‘the norm’, the fact that it is NOT commonplace is what makes it such an unusual eyesore.

It looks like it is a private trash hauler for this house. Perhaps the dumpster should be bigger or picked up more frequently than once a week. Or the house should be on the City trash circuit. Either way, it is an eyesore, unhealthy, smelly and definitely a flavor palate for rodents.
