This is harrassment. I have had one of my three vehicles, (always tagged, insured, and roadworthy) parked in front of our house, off and on, for the last 26 years that we have lived here.
Since being warned a while back, I've been moving back and forth in front of our house every couple of days.
I guess I'll have to rotate sides of the street to satisfy these petty haters.
I have spoken to the resident in a previous SCF Who owns the Toyota in question. I did not speak with them today. The vehicle is driven weekly. I marked the vehicle to see if it moves in 48hrs.
Vehicle was marked by me. Vehicle was moved within the 48hrs. Vehicle is parked in the same location when reparked and may appear it has not moved. Is there a phone number you can be reached to discuss this matter? I will leave this SCF open until Monday.
I'm not the one that reported this issue, but I live in the neighborhood and have a question regarding the parking ordinance. By homeowners own admission, they have been moving the vehicle back and forth in front of their property. My husband has witnessed this - they get in vehicle, back it up 4 feet, then go back in the house. Is this in compliance with the 48 hour ordinance? Our interpretation would be that the vehicle is not being used and is still 'parked, stored or located upon the street for more than 48 hours'. We have contacted our community officer to get clarification on the ordinance, but have not heard anything back yet.
There are several households in the neighborhood that have grown weary of the apparent abuse of the parking ordinance. We feel it is neither petty, nor harassment to expect people to follow the rules as they are intended and be a good community member.
I am not the RP either but fully concur with TopCity Resident. A car is effectively in long term storage on the street causing frequent traffic tie ups. Home owners across the street have difficulty backing out of their driveways. The resident has ample parking in the driveway and there is a garage off the alley that could be utilized. It is not harassment, it is concern for our neighborhood.
Do you really expect people to post their phone numbers in the comments section? Is there not a way to private message that information? You can't exactly close the issue due to no response when two people have responded to the issue with no clarification.

This complaint was checked on 6-25 and 6-26. The car was parked along the east curb line. On 6-26 it was along the west curb line. This will continued to be monitored.
