Neighbors, this graffiti has remained on those fences for far too long, and I for one am sick of seeing it every day. Since the county is ignoring the issue, I will be taking matters into my own hands.

We were told that because the fence is a private fence, the county cant touch it. It has to be up to the homeowners whose fences are affected to have their fence replaced/painted over.

Is it possible for the county make a request to those particular home owners to paint over the graffiti. The graffiti is also in front of Marley Middle school; who is responsible for this portion of the fence? Graffiti should not be permitted to remain in any area that is visible to the general public. Especially right in front of a school.

Lauren, I agree. I am planning on going directly to the homeowners and offering to remove the graffiti myself at no cost to anyone but myself (cleaning materials).

You are awesome VT!!! If I’m available the day you decide to do this I don’t mind helping out. It is really sad that there is nothing the county can do to help out.

Thanks Lauren, I will try to contact the home owners this week, and as long as they're not opposed to it I would most likely clean the fences either Saturday or Sunday AM. I will keep you posted.

Same here Lauren, I'll be out of town this weekend. I was just going to use my power washer in combination with a few cans of the Goof Off Graffiti Remover, If you pick some up make sure you get the aerosol version though. Here's a link to home depot:
