  Keep voting for the same people look at all the progress l... They only pay attention to immediate down town area. Notice the places that are getting attention are shrinking also. They want your car off the road they are spending all your tax $ on bike lanes and paths that are not used even close to the per capita population. The people want realistic solutions not wishful thinking mend Boston street until construction is done and pave highland to the hospital because the state has no clue what to do.

  So TRUE! Same situation ... Different Day! Any time there has been a problem on Highland during the last 22 years the answer has been "The state is responsible for that!" It would be wonderful if someone in our city government would take some responsibility for what happens on route 107.
  Are the taxes paid by those of us who reside in this area not sufficient to provide the area with city services?

  Well I did some research and found that the sidewalk is being paid for by NSMC. Although I cant complain about the generosity of the hospital to have a new public sidewalk installed in front of the facility,I have to wonder why the road was not fixed when the truth is the condition of the road is a result of all the construction NSMC has done over the last 10 years. The many patches are from the new gas line installed for the new power plant at the hospital and should have been corrected by the contractor. Thank you to the mayors office for assigning this to engineering who did nothing regarding a response. Kind of like we dont pay taxes so we will put a new sidewalk in front of our business which looses about $20 million a year.

The City maintains a pavement master plan that provides an overall road surface rating for all City-owned roadways. Paving determinations are made primarily on the basis of that master plan, in conjunction with other factors, including volume of traffic, safety, and efficiency in utilizing available resources.
