I put in the Church St address of City Hall to draw attention to our governing servants on this issue.
I am an avid user of Seeclickfix’s methods to keep our city and its residents up to date and safe in their communities.
I am saddened and appalled at the amount of illegal dumping that gets posted. I have lived here back in the 70’s and 80’s and now again since 2000. We as a community need to find a more effective way to handle this problem. What happened to scheduled bulk pickups by the city ? Now, in order to get an individual bulk pickup, you have to wait until mid Aug to get on ‘the schedule’. In addition, it will cost you $50.00 on top of what you already pay in taxes. Given the recent notice of an 11% tax increase, it might be more financially feasible for the city to go back to twice yearly bulk pickups rather than an everyday pickup for those who choose to bypass the proper means of getting rid of junk.
Just my opinion and desire to improve the livibility for all residents.
