cops were ticketing cars on Wednesday. First time in the 3+ years I've been regularly biking on that road.

Enforcement is nonexistent. If DC wants to raise more money from traffic violations, why not WRITE SOME TICKETS??

Even worse now, after the street has been repaved they did not repaint the bus/bicycle only sign.

This violation is constant and awful. I have never seen any enforcement and never been riding on it without seeing multiple cars in the lane. This lane is useless without enforcement.

Since DC has the most efficient parking violation enforcement in the universe, they should be able to spare a few people for more serious infractions like this one!

This has gotten ridiculous. Not only are cars violating the lane, but twice I've had to swerve into the gutter(on my bike) because a car came up behind me in the lane at speed and almost struck me. The DC Council passed a provision to make these lanes enforcible over two years ago, when are the police going to start following it?

They have repainted these lanes and removed the "bus/bike lane only" signage. Although this is not the solution I was hoping for, vehicles are technically no longer violating the rule, so I vote to close this issue.
