First...the city of Chicopee needs to make the same ordinance that applies to dogs.....to cats. If people took better care of their animals and kept them inside or tied them when their outside this wouldn't happen. Owners are responsible to take care of their pets and if that's not possible then they shouldn't have one. Granted vehicles drive too fast but pets shouldn't be in the streets either.

Dianne, if someone owns a cat and does NOT let it outside then they are a terrible owner. A person should keep an eye on where their cat goes and try and keep it from going in the street, but sometimes cats like to venture a little further across the street and that should not be a problem in any sane society. But our society worships the AUTOMOBILE as our GOD. You sound like a typical backwards thinking boomer with your inability to understand the problem and your inability to think of the big picture. I am glad you are not a city councilor with your terrible ideas.

If anyone is backwards take a look in the mirror. This world is a fricken mess because of all the bleeding hearts like you. If you own an animal keep it home and you won't have to worry about someone using the street for what it was intended for. It's not anyone else's responsibility but the pet owner. And what's the matter "ANONYMOUS" afraid to use your name???????
