Description

There are so many cars in the afternoon rush hour that heading north on Harvard block the interesection. It's a very large intersection, and when traffic is slow (rush hour) they make it across the T-tracks, but no further because of backed up traffic on Harvard. So they block the intersection for Beacon outbound. This causes very significantly delays on Beacon outbound during rush hour, as only 10 cars can make it through for each traffic light cycle. One solution: "$500 fine for blocking intersection" sign would caution people to think in advance before entering the intersection. But this might not even work, as it's a much longer intersection than they may think (e.g. can't always see across to the other side to plan ahead). So adding a 30 second buffer in the traffic light cycle may also help.
