Thank you so much for looking into this. I have spoken to the owners, and their claim is that somebody has been sneaking on to their property and trimming their bushes. Between January and May there was a large quantity of cut tree limbs left on and beside Ridge Lane. The trees do grow out into Ridge Lane and obstruct visibility, but I do not know whether that is the reason they were cut or who cut them. Can you clarify who owns the trees along Ridge Lane and whether the City or others have a right to trim them? The City mows back blackberry bushes alongside Ridge Ln further down the block at another empty lot--did the City cut the tree limbs? If so, can someone from the City speak to the owners to straighten this out? Prior to the giant orange spray-painted block, the owners posted a half dozen signs that claimed to pay a $1000 reward leading to the capture of illegal bush trimmers on their land and another half dozen neon No Trespassing signs. I have never seen such signs and spray paint allowed on other parts of the island, especially on a quiet residential street. Is there an ordinance that pertains to these types of signage?

One of the neighbors stopped into Engineering and would also like to know if the porta-potty that was just dropped off is in the City Right of Way or on their property.

Update. The folks who placed the block discussed the reasons with city crewmembers. It is not a graffiti violation. Hopefully the need for the message will resolve shortly.
