Description

Courtland Drive is a one way street at the intersection of Courtland Dr. and Wake Forest Rd. Numerous vehicles continue to drive the wrong way on this oneway street. Extremely dangerous for vehicles legally turning left or right onto Courtland Dr. Drivers are illegally using the oneway street to exit to Wake Forest Rd. resulting in multiple collisions and near misses

Agree! Just the other day I had to stop in the middle of Wake Forest Rd. as I turned left onto Courtland to avoid head-on collision with driver illegally exiting out of the one way road and nearly got tee-boned by another vehicle traveling on Wake Dorest Rd! I have a picture from yesterday another person illegally turning out of Courtland and nearly hit a car coming down Wake Forest Rd. It’s getting real bad!

Agreed, very dangerous intersection and the overgrown bushes and trees greatly limit visibility when turning right from Wake Forest onto Courtland Dr.

Staff reviewed the signage in this area. There is adequate signage at the intersection of Courtland and Mordecai Dr. City staff will have the pavement markings refreshed, add an additional "Do Not Enter" sign at the intersection with the alleyway and investigate the sight distance at the intersection with Wake Forest Rd.
