There needs to be something done about the traffic holdup at the light on 571 and Rt. 9. When I sit in my car I realize that both sides of rt. 9 can go at the green light, but when the lights change for the people on 571 and opposite them, they run on different lights. Why isn't there a delay for both sides to turn left? I think it causes more of a congestion to let each side go for a short period of time, rather than giving the people who want to turn left at the light, more time to turn. It seems hard to describe, but if you place yourself at the light you will understand what I mean. The side opposite of 571 (the side with the shell gas station) doesn't have an additional space for a green arrow light, but they would only need to change the light. There would be such a decrease in the congestion if the sides were able to have a delay, thus reducing the jam opposite Shell. After the time is given for the delay, both sides should be able to go through the light.
