I go to the Raleigh Times and always enjoy it. You are correct about the trash. I'm disappointed that the put it around the corner like that if indeed they do. You're absolutely correct about the amount of trash on Wilmington here.

The sidewalks on Hargett St are also always lined with businesses trash and recycling cans, it's rather unpleasent. I'm guessing this is allowed downtown since it's so common, although it shouldn't be.

I just don't get the trash in Downtown Raleigh? I have been all over the world and Raleigh honestly has the most trash out of any city I have been in just out on the street. The City needs a task force to create a resolution to this. It is literally disgusting to go downtown anymore where you have to navigate around mountains of garbage. Where else do you see this sort of thing?

This complaint has been investigated by Solid Waste Services. They have spoken with the owners and have been assured that they will remove the containers from the curb. The rule downtown is that containers must be off the curb by 9:30am the day after collection. We will continue to monitor the situation and inform owners that containers should also be cleaned on a regular basis.
